I recently had my IUD removed on October 9 of this year so that we can start trying for kids and as of December 3 I have had an extended period for almost 30 days. I called my OB/GYN and told her about it. They did prescribe me a medication that I took for 10 days and it pretty much stopped my bleeding but now it’s 10 days later & the bleeding has continued. I just wanna know if this is normal I’ve had the IUD in since 2020 has anyone else had this kind of thing happen? Brand: Liletta IUD

Yes, unfortunately your body is trying to adjust to not being given synthetic hormones it can take up to a year I think to fully adjust to being off. Irregular bleeding or lack of bleeding are just side effects of coming off
