hey ladies! i’m a crazy over thinker, i had sex the 26 and he said he nutted a little bit in me but he was also drunk and i seen a lot, anyways i started birth control the day before AND i was on my period, i also have endometriosis pretty bad ive also been having crazy birth control symptoms like cramps and tender boobs. i’ve also been having breakthrough bleeding throughout the whole time i’ve been on birth control and i’m supppsed to start break week next week so i’m wondering how large my period is going to be, any help??

If you’re using the pill correctly then it’s doing what it’s supposed to do. Side effects like irregular bleeding, cramps, tender breasts etc are very normal on the pill, what’s important is that you use it correctly. There’s no way to predict bleeding unfortunately, in any way. If you’re not 100% comfortable relying on the pill only for contraception then use condoms, it’s not worth the stress of worrying about it. I personally would be more concerned about STIs! (Unless you’re in a monogamous situation and have already been tested etc)

Do you mean you started birth control for the first time the day after you had sex? You weren't protected after just one day of taking it.
