I accidentally left my bag that has my birth control in the car. It’s been in there for about 5 hours, when I grabbed the bag it didn’t feel really cold to touch. Right now it is like 27• outside. My dad is saying that they are fine since they didn’t freeze but, Im kinda skeptical about using them. I heard that you shouldn’t count on birth control thats been in below temp’s recommended??

You should keep them in the recommended temperatures, yes. If you’re scared they’re affected then toss the pack and start a new one.

Personally my rule of thumb (not based on scientific evidence) is that if they're in temps that aren't too extreme for me to survive in, they're fine. For example this week I went on an outdoor hike and brought my purse with my pills in it and it was in the 20s. And I'm not concerned 🤷🏽‍♀️ Five hours also isn't a super long period of timen

@GhostFaceLov I recommend calling your pharmacy. I have done this with 2 different brands. One was okay, the other they couldn’t confirm for sure so they gave me a new pack.
