Hey guys I was wondering if there is anyone on this app that has gotten their tubes tied? I am 22 and thinking about getting it done after being on birth control for a few years. I am very confident that I do not want kids, I am scared to get surgery and I am just wondering what it’s like and the recovery process.

Just preparing you so you don’t get disappointed but the vast majority of doctors refuse to do this procedure on young women.

^My best friend had her sterilization procedure done at age 28 but she did have to search around to find a doctor who would agree to do it at her age. Don't give up, just know it may take some time. As far as the procedure, it's very modern and non-invasive now and you can leave the hospital the same day! My friend had someone pick her up from the hospital and rested for a few days, but otherwise I think the recovery was pretty quick and easy.
