Anyone have any advice/theories for almost a YEAR NOW I’ve been having brown spotting in the follicular phase. No idea why. I’ve had vaginal swabs, std tests, a smear, bloods tested, a vaginal ultrasound, a pelvic ultrasound and one on my back and they gave me no suggestion as to what the cause is. I have literally no other symptoms..is this just a normal thing? I’m so sick of it.

No I haven’t, and I really don’t wanna try any other forms since I don’t like how invasive the coil/implant is. :/

So the follicular phase is menses and then your uterine lining beginning to build back up. It’s very normal to have brown spotting around your period—before might be old blood from the previous cycle and afterwards might be oxidized blood that took longer to leave the body. Is it the length of it that feels problematic or when it occurs?

That’s great you have no other symptoms and have done some checks to make sure it’s not an infection or anything.

The spotting usually starts about 10 days before my period which is a huge window :/

you can try different birth control pills (no need to try IUD/shot/implant if you don’t want) and they might change the bleeding. mini pills affect bleeding differently from combined pills, and different doses of each can change it too
