I’m taking the pill right now, but I’m not super well versed in other forms of bc other than condoms and the depo shot. I’m really debating other forms of bc because I always forget about the pill. I have pcos so the pill is to make me have a period. So I need something to have a period and prevent pregnancy. Any one got any ideas? I’m terrified to get an IUD as I’ve heard they hurt a lot and the implant is scary to me :( thank you so much in advance <3

Some other options are the implant, the patch and the ring. Bedsider.org has a helpful tool where you can compare all methods

I would look into the patch or ring if you want to continue having break weeks. Just know they don’t guarantee you’ll have a monthly bleed.

I looked into the other options on the website Bedsider.org last night after I asked this question. I was mainly wondering about pain levels too. Like did the IUD hurt or anyone with bad experiences with the arm implant. Stuff like that. I’m scared to get it but I suck at remembering to take the pill every night so something I can forget about would be awesome. Maybe I’ll call my gyno and make an appointment and talk to her

Whether the insertion of a method hurts differentiates a lot per person. Some people experience pain others don’t notice a thing. It’s impossible to judge what it would be like for you. I am on the implant and I love mine.

Thanks! I’ll definitely talk to my Gyno about it too and maybe see if my insurance covers it :)
