Consistency is key with birth control pills. Try to take your pill at the same time every day to maintain hormone levels and ensure effectiveness. For example I have alarm set for every day at 8 pm. Some common side effects can include nausea, headaches, or mood changes. If you’re just starting out or if you miss a pill, consider using backup contraception (like condoms) until you’re sure the pill is effective. If you experience anything concerning or persistent, don’t hesitate to talk to your healthcare provider. Familiarize yourself with the instructions for what to do if you miss a pill. Generally, if you miss one, take it as soon as you remember. If you miss two or more, check the guidelines. And don’t forget to drink plenty of water and eat balanced meals❤️

Thank you I hope this goes well. I’ve started taking the pill today at 11:20pm is it going to be effective enough if I engage in sex tomorrow or should I wait for a while???

You're welcome! Since you took your first pill today, it’s generally recommended to wait at least 7 days before relying on it for contraception. So, if you're planning to have sex tomorrow, it might be a good idea to use backup protection, like condoms, just to be safe. Always better to be cautious!

definitely use condoms tomorrow if you don’t want to become pregnant, it takes 8 pills taken correctly to become protected, so use condoms

Be sure to read your pamphlet and have a look at all the recourses on this {ytwqJMNia} - it has everything you really should know by heart. Another tip I have is not to rely on the protection meter of the app, it’s not entirely accurate. Educate yourself and rely on your pamphlet. Don’t rely on others, that’s one very important thing to remember, as birth control and sex is a responsibility for yourself. Use condoms for the first while because you don’t know how birth control makes you feel, it could make you sick. Also make sure you and your partner get tested for STI’s, even if you’re each others first. You could be a carrier and not know it.

Protection after 7 days does mean 7 full 24 hour days, meaning 8 pills.
