What ways do you guys practice self-care? I’m in my Master’s in Social Work program, and we have been studying this forever. I don’t feel like I have great ways I practice it so am looking for ideas!!!

I enjoy taking the time to file and paint my nails. :) Idk if thrift shopping counts but I like doing that too 🤣 taking timeout of my day to do some yoga/ a walk/ a bike ride. Sometimes when I wanna be alone I drive an hour and a half to the beach to just sit and chill. If I’m feeling really sad or happy I buy myself some of my fav food/treats. Self care looks like doing something that’ll make you and your body/mood happy. If something doesn’t feel right/is making me upset I try to distance myself from it as a way of self care. Like I don’t be letting somebody steal my energy if it’s not aligned with me yk? So it’s whatever works for you and your body! Maybe a nightly facial routine, going to the gym, brunch with the girlies, a massage. Anything that can get your nervous system regulated. Time outside in nature seems to help us humans :)

I started doing the “cozy colouring” trend recently and it really is making me happy and relaxed. Other things I do are going to movies or concerts by myself, it is really freeing knowing I can do these type of activities by myself and enjoy media by myself. I am also a gamer so having a night for myself to play games is great. Other than that the classics like taking a bath or reading a book do well too!
