i’m very very worried, my bf was fingering me very harder than usual and it did hurt a little bit and i started bleeding. i looked it up on tiktok and its saying so many different bad things. i am on birth control and had my last withdrawal bleed but i had to stop taking it for a week after my refills ran out bc i have to go to dr, so i called them and they cant get me in until dec 15 so they sent another pack and i took it on time yesterday night and tonight. help please

also it does hurt a little without even touching it and it did burn when i peed after finishing

the pain and bleeding sounds like nothing to worry about, he scratched you in there being too rough. that has nothing to do with your pill. do not (absolutely do NOT) take medical advice from tiktok, especially regarding birth control. There is way too much misinformation on the pill. what are you worried about? being pregnant? if you’ve taken your pills on time for a full 8 days you’re protected.

being off your pill for a week isn’t concerning unless you’ve had sex without a condom at all since missing any, if you have been having unprotected sex then there’s definitely risk

@jorts22 i’ve just had a lot of weird things happened to me since and it makes me worry. i had some light bleeding about maybe a week after oct 25 but i also got my withdrawal bleeding and it was heavy and lasted for five days, after that bleed i stopped taking my pills bc i had no more until yesterday

i see, sounds like you’ve been pretty safe but i see why you’re worried. heavy bleeding is pretty reassuring that you’re not pregnant, but ofc everyone says it’s not the same as a real period so if you’re worried i’d say just take a pregnancy test in a few weeks.

@peetie_ blood turns brown because it oxidises. It’s almost been a month since you had unprotected sex, a pregnancy test is more than accurate if you need the reassurance but nothing you’ve said here sounds alarming. If sex causes you this much stress it might be best to not have sex until you’re mentally ready for it.
