I’m on the combined pill and I took a break and have just now finished my second pack after the break. I had unprotected sex two weeks ago and now I have a late period. What are the reasons for this? Sex was not unprotected if your on the pill. Withdrawal bleeding isn’t guaranteed, completely normal to have one or not xxx

But is it okay that i haven’t got my period yet and im on my break week?

@inquisitiveg since it’s not an actual period it can’t technically be “late”! I myself don’t usually bleed until about day 5 of my break week. You’re not guaranteed bleeding during your break so I wouldn’t worry <3

@padmeami17 thank you so much. in the past on the pill i usually bleed at pretty consistent times except the first time after my break i was early and now im late. should i be concerned because late is out of the ordinary for me?

@inquisitiveg No, like they said about you can’t technically be “late” at all. The hormones will very regularly change your bleeding patterns and sometimes will make it not occur at all.
