Hi everyone! So I have this issue I’ve never had before. I’m taking my pills and decided to skip the placebo ones a few times because my periods were usually very painful and I bled a lot. The last time I took placebo pills was in November. For about a week now I’m bleeding a bit, even though I’m still taking active pills. On January 10th I was on a party and vomited a bit (I took my pill earlier - about at 6:30PM and vomited around 10:30PM). In two days I’m starting my placebo pills and decided I will take them this time. Should I be worried or is this normal? I’ve heard this might be a way my body wants to tell me it deserves period. Thank you for your help!!! xoxo Brand: Lesiplus

I’m wondering if the breakthrough bleeding can last this long, or is this something I should worry about.

Skipping breaks can lead to side effects such as breakthrough bleeding, which can last for weeks at a time if you’re unlucky. Taking a break might help but it’s no guarantee.

You can take a break if you’d like. But if you experience a lot of pain, I’d continue skipping personally. Eventually you’ll hope it just stops haha and your body gets accustomed to or you could take like a 2/3 day break then continue with your pills. Cause are you experiencing pain and bleeding like on a break week? Cause if not I’d take bleeding a bit over pain and heavy bleeding. Yk? It’s totally normal to have bleeding anytime while on the pill :)

Thank you for your help! I’m really grateful. Yes, I’m experiencing a lot of pain when on my period, even the painkillers my friends take don’t help me. I usually buy the night pads and use them all the time hahaha. It was just a bit weird for me that it lasts for so long and it’s the first time I’m experiencing this. Thanks for your knowledge though! Lots of love!
