hi, so I went to the doctor today because I started experienced spotting very lightly and only in the morning for the past two days she gave me a pregnancy test it was negative, but she said that it’s so early that the chances of it being accurate are pretty low. she kinda scared me cause she made it seem like that’s the only answer. starting to freak out. I had sex two weeks ago right after my period ended. I am on birth control and he pulled out I also have some cramping, but it’s not too bad. Any ideas on what it is?

Irregular bleeding is a normal side effect of the pill. No need to discuss with a doctor unless it keeps on happening/doesn’t stop for weeks, you may want to discuss changing pills with your doctor in that case. Cramps are also a normal side effect of the pill, I would recommend reading your pill’s pamphlet so you are aware of the potential side effects and know what’s happening if you experience them. If you’re using your pill correctly it’s working. If you don’t trust your pill, you’re best to use condoms, it’s not worth stressing about it.

@heygirls you can experience side effects at any time on the pill. Even if you’ve been on it years or never experienced that particular side effect before. If you use the pill correctly and account for anything that might interfere with the pill’s effectiveness, you have no reason to worry about pregnancy.
