I was sick and threw up within 3 hours of taking my pill last Monday the 10th. I took another pill a few hours later. I had a dodgy stomach, not fully runny diarrhoea but watery than usual all of last week. I kept taking my pills. Should I still be protected? I'm on desogestrel

hmm it’s hard to say for sure. you are probably okay, but since the stomach issues went on for that long if i were in your situation i’d still use condoms for a while just to be careful

I believe it’s 6 hours after you’ve taken that it becomes ineffective if you’ve thrown up or had a poorly tummy so definitely use condoms as well and don’t be surprised if you get some spotting if your body is thinking you’re skipping pills to start a break week x
