hi. so i’m on the combined pill (start of week 3) and i missed a pill last night. google is saying im still protected as i’ve not missed a pill this month but the app is saying im unprotected. can someone advise please? never missed a pill before and its me and my boyfriends anniversary! thank you!

You need to check your pamphlet, it has specific instructions what to do when you miss a pill for your specific brand. Google isn’t entirely reliable when it comes to birth control instructions as it pulls information from any random source on the internet. Including wrong information. So check your instructions.

i haven’t got them with me, i found the info from an nhs website. this is the quote “If you are in week 2 or 3 of the pack then you only need emergency contraception if you have missed any other pills in the last 7 days.”

i havent missed any all month and i am on week 3

@es888x please clarify next time. An actual source versus “Google” are very different. The NHS is known to be backed up by scientific research so their instructions are reliable.
