morning everyone, i’ve had to call in sick this morning because i’ve not been very well over the weekend i’ve had the sickness bug. on the phone they asked me when i was last sick but i’ve also had diarrhoea with the sickness so i’m just wondering when i do my back to work do i need to tell them sickness and diarrhoea or does the word “sickness bug” just cover all of those areas. i just like to know what to say before hand thank you xx

You don’t need to give them the details, it’s entirely up to you. You could just tell them you had a sickness bug, or that you were simply not feeling well.

@Yi_eune i work in a nursery and i’ve told them i’ve had the sickness bug over the weekend but i’ve got to ring up later today to tell them if i’ll be in tomorrow or not so i was going to mention sickness and diarrhoea then?? xx

No that’s not their business 😩 literally just saying you’re sick. You don’t need to give them details. Maybe a doctors note? But not details! I mean would you want someone to give you that info?? I wouldn’t, like I don’t need to know that 😭 it’s not a big deal if you just say you’re still feeling sick and you won’t be in for x amount of days.
