what does your pamphlet say? mine says to take another pill if you have diarrhea within 3-4 hours of taking it, so yours might be similar. the 6+ trips rule has no medical source, don’t use it as a real guideline.

if your pamphlet doesn’t have instructions related to diarrhea specifically, call your pharmacist and ask them.

The truth is that the impact of diarrhea on pill effectiveness has never really been studied so any impacts are just theorized. @jorts22 the 5-6 trips or more is just meant as a measure of severity, it's not exact. I was doing some research on this and it actually looks like the current guidelines (from the WHO and CDC) are that you don't need backup contraception unless you have diarrhea for more than 48 hours: {TED74sCns}

^^ there’s no definitive answer I would recommend using condoms until you’re 100% confident in your pill again.
